California's Salton Sea heavily impacted by climate change

Officials from China and the U.S. are wrapping up four days of climate talks in California ahead of two important upcoming global gatherings – APEC and COP28.

While their meetings are taking place behind closed doors, the evidence of climate change is visible very close. As climate officials from the world’s two largest economies hold talks just up the road, the impact of their decisions may be felt from the Salton Sea to the other side of the Pacific Ocean.
